Welcome! I'm Etresia, creator and owner of Etresia G Photography. This page is a little on the personal side and touches briefly on how I got here. I was born and raised in South Africa and came to the United States to attend college on a tennis scholarship at Clemson University. Since then, I got married, (to my college sweetheart), and had four amazing kids. We called South Carolina home for nearly 20 years and then moved to Florida, and then moved again to where we currently reside, Boerne, TX.
It was in 2008 that my life changed forever when we lost our 3rd child, Gianni. I could have never imaged one could gain and lose so much at the same time and that so much beauty and sorrow could exist simultaneously at once. Even though I carry the loss with me- I am fortune because of what I gained -it is mostly loss that teaches us about the worth of things.

Through that tragic loss, I come to realize just how much meaning, and value photographs truly have - it is how we remember, how we are remembered, not just in the present, but also in the future - how the next generation would remember. After the death of my son, photography found me and gave me a great sense of purpose of creating someTHING beautiful and meaningful for someone that they will enjoy and treasure forever. The biggest compliment a client can give me is to get emotional (cry) when they first see their images because then I know I have created visual imagery that touched them.
